EVLA uses existing laser fiber and ultrasound technology to heat, treat and close the main superficial vein from the inside with laser energy. It’s a truly remarkable procedure that’s carried out by our consultant vein specialists to restore healthy vein flow to the legs. The EVLA treatment is minimally invasive but is a surgical treatment that involves guiding a laser fiber into the vein. A local anaesthetic solution is administered to ensure comfort during this short treatment.
