MICRONEEDLING

A Microneedling Pen which contains small needles is used for the skin treatment. The needles pierce the skin and cause wounds, without bleeding, which helps produce more collagen and elastin for new skin cells as they heal, helping firm, and smooth the skin.

Some of the latest research has shown that microneedling improves the efficiency of treatment of androgenic alopecia and triamcinolone for the treatment of alopecia areata. As well as creating impressive results as a standalone treatment. The way microneedling works when used as a combination therapy is by creating micro channels in the scalp, which improves absorption of topical treatments. When the medication is applied following microneedling, it makes its way down the micro channels, caused by the small punctures in the skin. The micro channels prevent the medication being blocked by the top layer of the skin and support it on its journey to the level where the hair follicles exists. This intensifies the results of the medication, creating greater results, often quicker!

THERMAGE® FLX

Using radiofrequency(RF) therapy, Thermage treatments work by separating water molecules from collagen in the skin, giving an instant tightening effect and reduction in skin laxity. The treatment also stimulates new collagen production to strengthen the tightening in the skin for up to 2 years. Thermage RF therapy is a great non-surgical alternative that offers lasting results, little-to-no patient downtime, and can be used on most areas of the body.

The thermage treatment involves an RF wand to go over areas affected by aging and, using radio frequency energy, heat up the collagen-rich layers of the skin, whilst vibrating and cooling the surface skin for patient comfort, to disperse water from between skin layers and promote the rebuild of tighter skin collagen strands over time for smoother skin.
